COR-ENERGY engineers successfully installed an uninterruptible power supply for medical equipment in the surgical department at Clinical Hospital “Feofaniya” in Kyiv, Ukraine.
This is 380 Volt 3 phase UPS for reliable and stable power with a maximum power of 11 kW and the switching time of less than 4 millisecond to backup power. Thus changes have saved the hospital’s blood and bone marrow freezers from unpredictable failures.
Since most modern medical equipment is a complex technique using sensitive electronic components, reliable protection against unplanned power outages, protection against overloads and short circuits, voltage drops/surges and other power problems is required.
When choosing a UPS system for medical facilities, it is important to consider such factors as the size of the medical facility, the largest capacity of the medical equipment, the presence of a shield room in the hospital, and the requirements for powering critical medical equipment. This solution can save patients’ lives and prevent valuable equipment from being damaged.
COR-ENERGY’s engineers will also recommend which backup power system is the best to choose to protect critical medical equipment (cryo cameras, X-Rays, CT Scans & MRI, ultrasound, computers, operating room equipment etc.). In addition, the company’s specialists will be able to advise on other issues related to improving the energy efficiency of hospital building and energy autonomy.
